Geelong – Great Family, Great People, Great Parties, Great Ocean Road
Brian’s first cousin John & Janine picked us up in Melbourne on New Year’s Eve.
It was fantastic to meet them again.
They visited us with their beautiful daughters Caity & Elisa in Dingle the previous year.
“It’s all about family”
We loved the drive to Geelong. Great catching up with the cousins & seeing the countryside in AUSTRALIA.
I made it. I’m DownUnder 😎
Strange feeling being abroad & driving on the same side as Home 🏡 🚗
We arrived in John & Nene’s beautiful home.
Loved the garden too. John is an orchid grower & a specialist in his field.

“I wish I had John’s green fingers ”
Lovely evening catching up. New Year’s Eve’s drinks in The beautiful sunshine. Home was never like this ☀
New Year’s Eve in Australia, Southern Hemisphere.
We went to Anita & Randall‘s House (John & Janine friends ) for the celebrations 🎉 🎉🎉
Fantastic night, great fun, fireworks, “barbie” & beverages.
Geelong Fireworks 🎆 🎇 – Photo credit Pinterest
We watched the fireworks from the party over looking Geelong . Spectacular
We were all given sparklers by the host. We lit them at the countdown to Midnight.
It was so beautiful – So special – A magical Moment ✨✨✨✨
“HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉”
A fantastic start to the New Year, New Friends, New Traditions, New Adventures.
New Year’s Day I’m excited to see beautiful Geelong.
We started the day with an Australian cooked breakfast / brunch on the Barbie. Sunshine & Stories ☀🤩
We sat around and chatted about family, reminiscing. Wonderful to share stories about John’s mom Catherine ( Brian’s Auntie) & Brian’s dad Michael John ( John’s uncle) & lots more. Bonding at its best 💞💞💞
We visited a winery called Jack Rabbits, great views wines and craic.
One of my favourite jobs – Wine Tasting 🍷🍷🍷
Went for a lovely drive around the coast of Geelong.
Spectacular – well worth seeing. The waterfront in Geelong is amazing.
Had a lovely late lunch on the ocean front – “At The Heads“ beautiful food and great view.
Tip : “At The Heads” Located at the river mouth in Barwon Heads.
At The Heads is arguably one of The Bellarine’s most unique dining experiences. Fully licensed, magnificent views, friendly and efficient staff and a great menu.
Well worth a visit.
We had a beautiful meal.
I had barramundi and tasted Kilpatrick Oysters for the first time.
Loved them yum 😋
Cooked oysters with cheese, Worcestershire sauce and bacon. I’m hooked.
Loving my Down- Under Experience so far.
